As a United Soybean Board (USB) director for eight years, Tom Oswald served as a powerful advocate for soybean farmers. Tom always asked the question, “How do we make it better-er?” — meaning the extra steps, thoughts and efforts put forward to go beyond the expectation and provide the best possible outcome. Inspired by his passion and impactful strides for progress within this industry — and in tribute to his memory — USB has established an annual award to honor an individual, organization or group that has left a memorable mark on the soybean industry and/or the soy checkoff. Use this form to nominate someone who exemplifies Tom’s character and represents the lasting legacy he made, making the industry “better-er” than ever before. For more information about the award, read more in the press release.
