Farm Progress: ‘This Week in Agribusiness’ — Aug. 5, 2023

Farm Progress’ “This Week in Agribusiness” (24:25) featured Philip Good, USB Treasurer, with details on USB farmer-leaders approving the checkoff’s fiscal year 2024 budget that invests in research, education and promotion of U.S. Soy. 

“One of the things that excites me is a new product that is coming out to help fire control, and it’s made from soybean meal and flour, so that’s a safe foam that is going to be exciting,” said Good.

He also discussed the checkoff’s export initiatives.

“We just had some directors return from Turkey, and they were excited to look at everything from aquaculture to more soy in diets. Whether it be whole soybeans or soybean meal exports, we’re looking at how we can expand those markets into countries that need more food,” said Good.
