RFD-TV’s “Market Day Report”: How We Farm Today Impacts Our Future

RFD-TV’s “Market Day Report” featured Laurie Isley, USB farmer-leader and Communication & Education Committee Chair, sharing insight about the sustainability practices on her farm and investments in this area through the soy checkoff. 

“We consider ourselves to be very sustainable in what we use,” said Isley. “Precision farming allows us to use the data we collect to make better decisions about the nutrients that we use so we can be more efficient in the choices that we make. By having information from our soil tests and planter, we can take all of this data and then use that to make informed decisions about which nutrients we use, where we use them and how they are applied. It’s been a win-win for us.”
